Caroline Bayer
is about to finish her studies at Academy of Fine Arts in Münster. Earlier, she graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht, Netherlands.

Her work is influenced by urban architectures which she draws and reduces to few essential lines. These drawings are the base for the large-sized walldrawings made from black adhesive tape and foil which corresponds with the actual space it’s installed in.

This exhibition at Unten Drunter is her first solo show in Sweden, in collaboration with Skånes konstförening. Caroline Bayer currently lives and works in Münster.

“Caroline Bayer sensitively deals with the space for which and in which she is working. Its specific conditions always constitute the initial point of her wall works. She senses its atmosphere, the mood that exists between the walls, and she responds by an abstract architectural image which can always be a counter-image; a sensitive “inventory” as well as a sometimes ironic comment.”
